Faikah is an Attorney at Law, Certified Mediator and Notary Public. She was called to the Trinidad and Tobago Bar in 1997 and is also admitted to practice in Guyana and the British Virgin Islands. Faikah specializes in Property law (representing private and corporate sellers, developers and purchasers of residential and commercial property) and Estate law (Wills & Probate).
Faikah also practices in all areas of company law and has solid experience across the spectrum of oil and gas law, inward investment law, construction law, industrial relations law, telecommunications law and intellectual property law. Faikah has represented local and foreign clients such as the Business Software Alliance, led by Microsoft Corporation, in pursuit of their commercial objectives.
Faikah appears in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal in Trinidad and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. She has also acted for the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in defense of judicial review proceedings as well as in major construction arbitration and litigation. In her capacity as a certified mediator, Faikah has successfully mediated several disputes between individuals and corporate entities.
